Previous Projects and Clients

We have worked with a wide range of clients and partners, including wildlife trusts, environmental charities, outdoor centres, schools, youth groups, organisations supporting health and wellbeing, home-educating groups and families. Here is a seclection of previous projects:

‘Live Wire Project’ (2018) – Collaboration with Silbers CIC to deliver a nature-based therapeutic programme for families. Working alongside youth-workers and a psychotherapist, I designed and delivered the nature-connection programme. I also ran several summer workshops for local young people.

Nant-y-Cwm Community Woodland (2015 - 2017) – Delivered a weekly Forest School for children aged 6 – 11, as well as occasional Community Work Days  and Family Gatherings at the woodland.

Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales (2012 – 2016) – Designed and delivered several bushcraft and family learning activity sessions at the Cilgerran Wildlife Centre during school holidays;

 ‘Grow in the Wild’ (Oct 2009 – Mar 2010) In collaboration with the project team, we developed and delivered 10-week bushcraft courses for socially excluded older adults in North Somerset; 

Paddington Farm Trust, Somerset (2003 – 2009) – Designed and delivered bushcraft, nature awareness and ‘farm work’ activities for residential groups staying at the educational farm. We also helped to manage the land and led local volunteers.

Trackways UK (2003 – 2012) – Whilst living in England, Richard regularly worked as part of a small team of instructors delivering 3 – 5 day Primitive Skills Camps for teenagers in East Sussex

RSPB Avalon Marshes, Somerset Wildlife Trust (Fyne Court) and Carymoor Education Centre (2003 – 2012) – Richard regularly worked as part of a small team of field teachers delivering experiential nature activities to school and other groups on nature reserves in Somerset.

Home-educating groups (Occasional) – Delivered several popular outdoor-based programmes for home-educating groups in Somerset and Pembrokeshire;

Somerset Schools (2003 – 2012) – Designed and delivered several one-off school grounds sessions and ran several ongoing in school and after-school projects for several years.
