R2.JPG

Richard has been running EcoTrack and working as a freelance instructor specialising in bushcraft and nature connection since 2003.

He has established good links with schools, outdoor and environmental organisations within Somerset and E. Sussex as well as running private events for local groups and families. His lifelong interest is in ecology, sustainability and nature-based mentoring.

Richard continues to enjoy his own learning and practice - his friendly and approachable manner are appreciated by both children and adults, and his enthusiasm and experience add depth to his programmes.

Richard is currently receiving mentoring from Jon Young and the 8 Shields institute in the facilitation of deep nature connection through mentoring and involved in the 'Art of Mentoring' movement in the UK.

Previously, he has worked as an outdoor instructor in Wales, leading activities such as orienteering, initiative exercises, mountain walks, overnight treks, and archery.
